A month from my first instalment of the “will I buy them in full size” series, where I discuss about the sample beauty products I have finished, and decide on if they are good enough for me to buy the full size version, I have 4 more completed and ready to share with you today.
Given Oskia renaissance cleansing gel being my most re-purchased & long loved cleanser, I had high expectations for the 360 anti-aging & brightening supreme cream, but it just didn’t wow me as I thought it would be. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a nice, lightweight creamy moisturizer, does a good job at hydrating my skin without being oily even in the humid, hot weather, but nothing really stands out. And for a moisturizer at this price tag, I would expect it being somewhat special. After completing this 10ml deluxe sample, which is a quarter of the full size product, I don’t dislike it, wouldn’t mind having it if it comes as a gift, but I wouldn’t consider purchasing it – there are just more affordable moisturizers that do similar job.
I don’t normally experiment with mascaras, because most of them just don’t work well with typical Asian eyelashes, but I still had high hope when I get my hands on the Lancome Monsieur big mascara, simply due to the fact it looks absolutely amazing on Allana in her numerous YouTube videos. The mascara has huge wand, gives gorgeous volume and pretty lengthening, doesn’t look spidery or clumpy, almost ticks all the boxes as far as mascara goes.
The keyword here being “almost”. It doesn’t hold the curl for my lashes unfortunately, also smudges and transfers to my lower lash lines after 3-4 hours. So I’ll not be getting the full size, but I do know they have now launched the waterproof version, which is usually the answer to Asian lashes, I think I’ll be getting that one.
This is not a new sunscreen to me, I have used two bottles prior receiving this deluxe sample. It’s a nice, solid, high-protection sunscreen that doesn’t feel greasy on the skin, and lays well under makeup. It’s not the ultimate, invisible sunscreen to me, but whenever I don’t have any new sunscreens to try, this is at the top of my fallsafe options.
I got this generous travel size in one of the Fresh Christmas mask sets, and have enjoyed every scoop of this. It has a luxurious velvety, whipped cream texture that delivers a soothing cooling effect, and smells divine, just as you would expect from any Fresh products. It suppose to be a quick 5-10 mins mask, but I often leave it on for 40 minutes (it doesn’t dry out) to enjoy the spa-alike treat. After washing off, it leaves my skin softer, refreshed, plumper and more perfected, as the name rightly suggested. The result lasts the next few days, which you cannot say with a lot of masks. I love using this before a big event, or any occasions when I want to feel extra polished. Definitely will be picking up a full size in the next Sephora sales.
