Will I Buy Them In Full Size? – Volume 1

If there is anything I like more than skincare products, that will be skincare products in minis. I mean, what’s not to like about them? They are dainty hence inevitably cute, you can have a good field test with them without being committed, and perhaps more importantly, they are a dream to travel with.

When I finish a mini product, I often sit down and ask myself this question: will I purchase it in full size? And if the answer is a “YES”, then it serves as a pretty good sign that I’ve been enjoying it enough to enter a more committed relationship. So I thought I will start this mini series of mini products review (see what I did there?).

Skincare Minis Review - Bumble & Bumble, SK-II, Omorovicza, AmorePacific

Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Primer

This is a maybe. I enjoyed using this as a detangle and heat protective product. It has a lovely scent, just as all Bumble & Bumble products. It doesn’t weigh my hairs down, leaves no oily/greasy residue behind, and makes detangling a breeze. Honestly, nothing I can complain about (I mean, it has over 1,000 glowing reviews on Sephora). But I’m a newbie when it comes to heat protector, and there are about a dozen of them out there that I still want to try. So before I have tried a few more, I probably won’t get the full size. I’m nosey like that, but you are not surprised, aren’t you?

Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask

Till this day, I haven’t met any Omorovicza products that I don’t like yet, they make some of my favorite cleansers and moisturizers (I reviewed their rejuvenating night cream here), and this deep cleansing mask is no exception. It has their signature earthy, muddy scent (in the best way possible), sucks out the dirt from my pores without drying out my skin, has a slight warming and tingling sensation that I know it’s doing its work. Basically, everything I want in a deep cleansing mask and more. An order of a full size will happen the second I finish up my other deep cleansing masks.

SK-II Facial Treatment Essence Gentle Cleanser

I’ve finished a few of this cleanser in the past 2 years, which I often receive as a gift with purchase when I do my annual replenish of the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence. I like this cleanser enough that I’m not mad I have a few of them, but I don’t like them enough to get a full size. As someone has dry skin, I usually stay far away from foaming cleansers, but I’m willing to use up this SK-II one because despite being a foaming cleanser, it doesn’t dry out my skin (though it still leaves a bit of tight feeling right after wash) and does a good job at taking off all grimes. However, if I were asked to pay for a foaming cleanser, I would only go with either Omorovicza Cleansing Foam, the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser or the First Aid Beauty face cleaner depends on my budget, all of which are amazing, equally as effective as the SK-II in the cleansing department, but feel more gentle on the skin.

AmorePacific Moisture Bound Rejuvenating Cream

It’s quite a lovely moisturizer that has gel like texture, goes almost weightless on the skin, and locks in the moisture without ever feeling too heavy or greasy even in the hot, humid tropical weather in Singapore. However, that’s it, nothing magical about it that I want to run to the rooftop and scream with excitement. There are moisturizers that are much more affordable do just as well, such as the Belif True Moisturizing Bomb. So, nope, I won’t get the full size of this.
