So I made an unplanned haul in Sephora Singapore this Black Friday, but in my defense, it’s a one-day only 20% off sales. I mean, can you blame me? 🙂 Let’s share the joy and talk about the goodies I have picked up on the trip to every beauty addict’s mothership.
First Aid Beauty Vitamin Hydrating Mist is re-purchase, I have gone through two bottles of this and am still in love with it. It’s one of the few mists in the market that actually does something: it hydrates, it calms irritated skin and adds a glow at the same time. It’s my must-have beauty product in the gym bag. And it’s budget friendly.
I got a backup of the original Beauty Blender, which is just the best for blending foundations. I have been falling back in love with it recently, so thought I need a second one in case the first one haven’t been washed in time. I also picked up a Beauty Blusher for I have heard it’s great for cream blushes, bronzers and highlighters.
The last make up item I picked up is the It Cosmetics Brow Power Super Skinny in dark brown. I’ve been using the Hourglass brow sculpting pencil straight for about 9 months now, though I like the fact it’s super easy to deposit the color, sometimes I find it difficult work with if I’m looking for a more precise and controlled result. The It Cosmetics brow pencil has a super skinny tip as the name suggests, dark brown also seems to be a great match to my black hair, so I thought I would give it a try. First impression is that I wish the color is a bit more darker, but like the precision it gives, the spoolie is top notch quality, and absolutely love the package.
Fresh Eau de Parfum Brown Sugar is something I have been lusting over for a very long time. It’s the most unique sweet, citrus yet fresh scent I have ever smelled. Every time when I pass a Fresh counter in Sephora, I would liberally spray it on myself and thinking “I’m going to get it next time”. Well, the high price tag stopped me every time, especially given the fact the scent doesn’t last very long on me (4 hours maximum, I would say). But this time, with the holiday music singing in Sephora and the 20% sales push, I pulled the trigger and got a roller ball size. It looks tiny, but can last surprisingly long time – I have had a Fresh Sugar Lychee roller ball in the past, which is also a delicious scent by the way, and it lasted me over 6 months with everyday use.
My favorite purchase of the entire haul, however, is the Fresh Holiday Mini Mask Spa set, which includes the Sugar Face Polish, Rose Face Mask, Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask, Black Tea Firming Overnight Mask and Umbrian Clay Mattifying Mask, all in 30g/ml size, priced at $135 SGD before 20% off discount. I have been wanting to try Fresh masks for as long as I can remember, but was not willing to commit to a full size one without knowing if they are truly effective, and the fact they are pricy certainly didn’t help. So this mask set is perfect: size wise, 30ml is a great size to properly test out a facial mask; price wise, $108 SGD is not too outrageous, which breaks down to just slightly over $20 SGD each. I shall give the set a run and report back.
Have you picked up anything beauty wise during the Black Friday or/and Cyber Monday sales?
