Three New Beauty Favorites

3 new recent beauty favoritesThese past few months have been very hectic for me, work-wise, which resulted me relying on the same skincare and makeup routine every single day. They just save so much time and brain cells, and I have to admit, I’m now quite digging the idea of sticking to the same set of products for a period of months.

There are 3 new things I’ve discovered during this phase and the fact I still feel excited every time I use them makes me feel like they deserve a dedicated post all by itself. So here is goes.

Tata Harper Nourishing Oil Cleanser: new to my cleanser arsenal, and the only cleanser I want to use recently in addition to the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel. I really didn’t expect I would like this cleanser this much, given I haven’t had much luck with the Tata Harper floral essence in the past. This oil cleanser, however, was love at first use. It has a classic Tata Harper scent: calming and clean. Unlike other oil cleansers, it’s not even a bit sticky, very easy to spread out and feels ultra light on the skin. I prefer to use it after removing makeup (even though it claims to be a makeup remover, I just think it’s too beautiful to be used as one), message it in for a minute or so, and it would leave my skin so soft and nourished – hence the name “nourishing oil”. It feels like I’m giving myself a proper facial everytime I use it.

Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic blush in First Love: it has been my go-to blush for the past few months, I just don’t want to put it down! I have had this blush for a while, but have only started using it since August, which I’m kicking myself in the butt now, because it’s such a gorgeous everyday blush. The texture is silky soft to the touch (even softer than the Tom Ford blush I would say), and the color is a universally flattering peachy brown with a tint of shimmer, and lasts on my skin for 8-9 hours. If you like the Tarte amazonian clay blush in Exposed and Hourglass ambient lighting blush in mood exposure, you will like this one for sure.

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 54 boy: I’ve been putting off buying this lipstick for as long as I can remember, because in my mind, I just couldn’t justify the price for a sheer formula. But you know what, I’m wrong. Even though it looks like almost nothing when swatched on the hand, it has a beautiful sheen with tiniest sparkles running through it, and gives you the my-lip-but-better look, which is my preferred look for most days. It’s a moisturizing, lightweight and high-shine, in between lipstick and lip balm product. It has been practically living in my bag ever since I purchased it. No regret, and I can see myself running out to get a new one as soon as this one runs out.
