I know there is no such thing as Spring here in Singapore – it’s steamy hot summary every day! But I like to sync up my makeup with the seasonal changes as the rest of the world, you know, It’s fun. Also, it’s a good reason to shop my ever growing stash, and an excuse to get hands on the new launches!

Spring is all about glowing and fresh look. So of course, I’m reunited with my Burberry luminous fluid base for the ultimate subtle glow. I’ve been mixing one pump of this glow giver with Bobbi Brown serum foundation almost on a daily basis lately, and this combination delivers exactly what I’m looking for: a lightweight, glowing, dewy and hydrating base with medium coverage, blends into the skin seamlessly and doesn’t get oily throughout the day (FYI, I’ve combination skin, borderline leaning towards oily). Also, the Bobbi Brown serum foundation has SPF 40, which is pretty rare for a foundation, but great for the weather – the more sun protection, the better!

For the cheeks, I’m going all in with cream products. The Becca liquid shimmering skin perfector in Opal has been my go to: dot it on the high points of my cheeks, then dab it in with the fingers, quick and easy. My blush on ration for this time of the year are the usual coral, peachy suspects: Le Metier Fresh Cream tint in Poppy (aka, the best cream blush formula ever), Josie Maran Coconut watercolor cheek gelee in Poppy Paradise, which is my recent favorite and I have a full dedicated review here, and Tom Ford blush in Love Lust – the color itself screams for Spring and Summer!

Onto the eye, the Chanel Stylo eyeshadow stick in Caroube has been everything for me! It’s such a nice formula – long lasting, easy to blend, nicely pigmented – and the color is perfection! I actually prefer this to the by Terry Ombre Blackstar eyeshadow stick, which will start creasing on me after about 7 hours of wear. So sad this is a limited edition, I’m already more than half way through this… After swiping this all over my eyelid, I will reach for Tom Ford eye defining liquid eyeliner, which is also on its last lag, still debating if I should repurchase after it’s completely dried out: the best black liquid eyeliner I have tried, but so pricy!

For the lashes, I’m back to the Heroine Long and Curl mascara: not the best at volumizing, but is incredible for lengthening and holding the curl, also it doesn’t smudge. Trust me, your lashes will still be in tact even after sleeping with it, not that I recommend to sleep with mascara on, obviously…
