My Updated Sephora Sales Recommendation List

It’s April, Spring is coming or already here for most parts of the world, and you know what else is coming? Sephora mid-year sales! After going through the exercise of extensively reviewing and trimming down my purchase list for the Sephora sales in Singapore, which happened at the beginning of April, I thought it’s about time for me to update my Sephora Sales recommendation list. After all, it’s a bi-annual event that a lot of us are taking very seriously, am I right? Or am I right?

Sephora Sales Recommendations

Hair Care:

I’ve been experimenting with a fair bit of hair care products in the last year or so, and here are the ones I absolutely swear by and think 100% worth the splurge.

Olaplex hair care system has been quite a game changer for me, I would recommend their entire line of products, namely the No.3 Hair Perfector, No.4 Maintenance Shampoo and No.5 Maintenance Conditioner. They are unlike any other nourishing hair products I have used, I can see the difference and feel the improvement almost instantly. I have written a full review of them here.

OUAI hair oil: Even though I like to switch up my hair oils here and there, I always like to make sure there is a bottle of OUAI hair oil in my stash. It’s extra lightweight so would answer the prayers of those with fine hairs and are afraid of weight down.

AQUIS Hair Wrap: Ever since I was introduced to this hair wrap after watching Lisa Eldridge’s video, I’m not kidding when I say I don’t want to ever wash my hair without it! I have tried a dozen of microfiber hair towels in the past, but the AQUIS one puts all of them to shame. It’s well designed and brilliantly made, I can easily wrap it around my hairs without worrying it will fall off. It cuts down the hair drying time significantly, so I can use less of hair dryer. So if you are someone that likes to air dry your hairs, or just want to use less heat on the hairs, this will change your life.

Skin Care:

Farmacy Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask is hands down my most used face mask, it’s the one I would reach for at least once a week, it’s the one I always travel with, and it’s the one my skin craves for whenever it’s stressed, dehydrated or really just fancy a nice at home treatment. I love everything about this mask, as you can see from my detailed review a while back here, and I still stand by everything I said.

Youth to the people Superberry Hydrate + Glow Oil is one of my favorite face oils at lower price point. It’s packed with good, clean ingredients and has a faint subtle scent that’s booth soothing and intoxicating at the same. It doesn’t perform like an all-rounded miracle maker as the Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum does for me, but it’s a darn good oil for ultra hydration, calming down sensitivity and redness, and deliver that beautiful glow. Let me tell you, it doesn’t get its five-star rating in Sephora for no reason.

Sephora Sales Skincare Recommendation

Youth to the people Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser is another great find for excellent price in this brand. It smells like fresh green vegetables in the farm in a fine sunny day with crisp air, which can anyone complain about? It’s gentle enough that I can use day and night without feeling tightness after wash (unless I have been using strong retinols for a few days, then yes, it can feel a bit drying),

Drunk Elephant A-Passioni Retinol Cream: of course it’s going to be in recommendation list if you have read my review here. Retinol, as an ingredient has really transformed my skin, and the Drunk Elephant one has the right potency I’m looking for. It is probably one of the strongest OTC retinol treatments in the market, and I’m all for that, as long as you use it with caution and test out your skin’s endurance level properly.

Drunk Elephant C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum: one of my favorite vitamin C serums for the day time, and I have gone through the details here. I’m a bit believer in incorporating vitamin C to the daily skincare routine, it’s like the best buddy to sunscreen. I’m currently testing out a bunch of Drunk Elephant products (a more in-depth brand review will be coming soon), and this is one of the star products from the brand for me.

Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask and Agave+ Balm: my no.1 lip balm pick, no doubt. It’s the only lip balm that can save my chapped lips on cold, windy and dry environment. I have gone through 2 lip balms and 2 lip masks, would repurchase them in a heartbeat. Bite has also newly launched the Agave+ nighttime lip therapy, which I read to be the improved version of the lip mask. Is it even possible? I would for sure need to pick one up.

RMS ‘Un’ Cover-Up Concealer/Foundation (I’m in the shade 22) was one of my best discoveries in 2018 as far as makeup goes, it has de-crowned Glossier Stretch Concealer to become my day-to-day favorite. Lately, I have even been doubling it up as my go-to easy day foundation, dap it on the areas I would like to have a bit of coverage and I’m good to go. It feels lightweight on the skin, does try out my under eye area, and is not too emollient that it slips and slides throughout the day. To top if all, it’s a clean product that contains no ingredients that’s bad for the skin.

Nudestix Nudies Matte Blush & Bronze is another line of cream products I have been using a ton in the past few months. The shade Bondi Bae is one of my top cream bronzers, and the one I have traveled with the most, I rotate the blushes among Bare Back (a cool tone nude pink), Naughty n’ Spice (a dusty rose that suits different skin tones) and Sunset Strip (a coral nude) on regular basis, because not only are they beautiful nude shades that are right up my alley, they are extremely wearable, user friendly and lasts very well. If you are a cream product girl like me, you will not be disappointed by it.

Benefit Gogotint & Benetint Cheek & Lip Stain: I know I’m very late to the game, but better late than never, right? It’s a wonderful product, easy to use, crazily pigmented but blends in effortlessly and stays on all day all night. I picked up the small travel size, as a little goes a long way, and truth to be told, I have a lot of blushes to dabble around. Oh, it also is a true multi-tasker, works great as a lip tint. High recommend it for anyone that likes a no-makeup makeup look, and prefers quick and easy morning routine.

Becca Skin Love Glow Stick Glaze Highlighter is my new found love in the highlighter arena. I thought I have seen enough highlighter in the lifetime that nothing can excite me anymore, until I met this glorious balmy like highlighter stick from Becca. It has no visible color to it, no shimmer or glitter, and just makes your skin looking wet and glossy, as if you have just finished an intense workout session and your skin glows at its best. If you like intense highlighter, this will not be your thing, but if you like subtle, barely there yet definitely enhance the look of your skin type of highlighter, this will be your gem.

Hourglass Arch Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel: my current favorite brow gel (yep, it has replaced the Glossier Boy Brow in my daily routine). Love the brush tip, and the fact it gives me that natural, bushy brow, while keep them in shape all day long. I’m in the shade dark Brunette.

Dior Lip Glow: the first lipstick I have completely used up, which says a lot. The OG color changing lip balm that is as good as everyone says, not only it looks great on virtually everyone, it wears very comfortably and actually nourishes the lips. My favorite are color 001 pink glow and 004 coral glow.

Happy shopping!
