May Beauty Favorite

may beauty favoritesWe are already half month into June, but never too late for a monthly favorite right? May has been a good month, at least beauty wise. I’ve made several hauls, discovered a few new loves, and continued the love-affair with some old faves. What more can you ask for? 🙂

For the old faves, I’m still obsessed with the Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base and Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Foundation combo, it does wonders on my skin especially when now my skin is more towards the dry side after all the travels. Just the perfect light, hydrating, radiant and natural looking base for the summer. I have been using this combo for almost every day I’m wearing makeup in the past 2 months.

Another old favorite is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Radiant Magenta, I would go as far as saying this is one of my top 3 blushes of all time! BUT, I dropped it to the floor at the hotel I was staying when I was rushing to get ready on a morning, which was heart breaking! I picked up all the big pieces from the floor right away, though to be safe, I should probably get a new one and toss this one, if I don’t want to get nasty breakouts.

The other three favorites are all new discoveries from my recent hauls. If you have seen my MAC haul/first impression, you will know how much I loved the cream color base in Hush and Strobe Cream. Happy to say, that first impression still stay true. The strobe cream is a gorgeous glow giver, and feels comfortable on the skin, even for the hot weather. And if I may say it again, the price is amazing! The cream highlighter in Hush has a fab formula, it’s dries down to powder like finish almost instantly, while leaving a beautiful glow that lasts for hours and hours – not too subtle, not too obvious, just the right balance.

Last but certainly not the least, Bioderma Hydrabio Perfecteur SPF 30++++, OMG! My new holy grail daytime moisturizer for the hot, humid summer weather. It’s a true multi-tasker: it absorbs quickly, adds hydration to the face while provides decent sun protection, and the best part is that it has velvety texture that smoothes the skin and prepares for makeup. Normally with usual moisturizer or sunscreen, I need to wait at least a few minutes before applying foundation, otherwise, the foundation won’t sit well. But it’s not the case with the Bioderma Hydrabio Perfecteur at all, I can go straight to makeup right after applying it, which is fab! A few minutes saved in the morning! And if you are not a morning person like me, you know how important it is to have one extra minute in the morning.

It’s scary that we are already at June, half of 2016 has already gone?! Is anyone else feeling this year has been passing ridiculously fast?
