It Is Likely the Most Lush Body Polish

Herbivore coco rose coconut oil body polish review

I’m relatively low maintenance when it comes to body product, I mean, I still use body cream every single day without fail in hot or cold weather, but I’m not all that picky with the products. In other words, I’m not in the forever hunt for that perfect foundation, that perfect eyeliner, or that perfect moisturizers like I do with my face. Tell me I’m not alone!

But that doesn’t mean when I come across a delicious body product, I appreciate it any less. Case in point, the Herbivore Coco Rose – Coconut Oil Body Polish has been my best find yet this year in the body care department. I love it so much that I want to get on the body scrubbing action way often than I normally do.

This lush body polish is housed in a heavy (I mean really heavy!), simple yet beautiful glass jar. The package of this product is consistent with the rest of this brand’s lineup, minimalist at its best. No vibrant colors, no loud patterns, no crazy fonts.

Open up the jar, you will immediately smell a clean yet yummy mix scent of coconut and rose – the rose scent is nothing overwhelming, but rather subtle and light. I’m not going to tell you how many times I want to taste it in the middle of exfoliating – a very weird thing to say, but what I’m trying to tell you is that it smells delicious.

The star of the show is of course the product itself. It has the perfect texture of a body polish I’m looking for: not too rough/sandy that you feel like you are peeling off a layer of skin, but not too gentle that you feel it’s doing nothing. I like to take a generous scoop of it and rubbed it all over my body, rinse it off, and it makes me feel like I’m getting new skin – softer, smoother, more nourished and moisturized. And allow me to repeat, it leaves my skin well moisturized in the non-sticky way, thanks to the virgin coconut oil in the blend. This is the only body wash/exfoliator I have tried so far that I don’t see the need to follow up with body lotion after shower, because it’s so moisturizing and nourishing. So if you are someone that likes the squeaky clean feeling in the shower, you may found this to be too nourishing, or even suspect it doesn’t clean your body thoroughly. But trust me, it’s just the coconut oil that protects and nourishes your skin after exfoliating.

What’s more? The whole Herbivore line of products are using all natural ingredients. The Coco Rose body polish is also vegan and cruelty-free, what more can you asking for?
