Everyday 5 Minutes Makeup

5 minutes makeup routine (no makeup makeup look)

everyday easy makeup look

With Christmas getting closer and closer, and seeing all the glamour holiday makeup tutorials pop up in my YouTube feed, for some reason, I’m getting more and more lazy in the makeup department. In the past few weeks, I have been doing 5 minutes makeup every day, didn’t even bother to touch bronzers, highlighters and even concealer, what’s going on?! Who knows, but I’ve been enjoying rocking the no makeup makeup look, if I may say so myself…

Chantecaille Just Skin is on my face 9 out of 10 days, I cannot get enough of its natural finish. It evens out skin tone, adds a bit of radiance to the face and just give you my-skin-but-better result. I haven’t given much love to any other BB creams or foundation ever since I started the love affair with this tube of magic.

Tom Ford eye defining liquid eyeliner: it’s in my top #sorrynotsorry list, because this luxury liquid eyeliner really does yield fabulous result – it’s as black as you can get, it glides over eyeliner evenly and smoothly, and it lasts all day long. Incorporating a liquid eyeliner into 5-minute makeup routine might be a quite unusual choice, but I have gotten so used to doing it every morning that it feels weird without it. Though, I have to admit, when I only have 3 mins left to get ready (yes, that happens more often than I wanted), like this morning, I will skip this step and go straight to next one.

Shu Uemura eyelash curler and mascara of the choice: not much words need for the Shu Uemura eyelash curler, the best I have ever had, works like a gem. For mascara, I have been rotating between Covergirl Super size mascara and Tarte lights, camera, lashes mascara. On the days I’m going eyeliner-less, I prefer the Tarte mascara for its serious volume, and on the days I have eyeliners on, usually the Covergirl mascara will be on my lashes. Though, to be honest, the Covergirl mascara is not as good as I expected – it doesn’t hold the curl that well on me, and is not adding as much volume as it claims to do. Maybe I should just stop trying and going back to my trusty Isehan Kiss Me Heroine Make Mascara.

Cream blush: for a quick get ready and more natural look, I always go with cream blush. Lately, in addition to my long time favorite Le Metier de Beaute fresh tint for lip and cheek, which I talked about in my underrated blush post here, I have also been quite liking the Illamasqua cream blush in Promise. It’s a gorgeous bubble gum pink shade that looks terrifying on the pan, but very natural and flattering on the cheeks. Highly recommended!

Finish up with a low maintenance everyday lipstick, which I obviously forgot to include in the photo, how typical! I have been grabbing the Dior Lip Maximizer Lip Glow a lot lately (Is this considered a lip balm, or a lipstick?). It goes with any makeup look and matches with any outfit, moisturizing and super comfortable to wear, it’s healthy juicy lips in a tiny tube.

And then, I’m out of the door. How do you rock you 5 minutes makeup face?
